year 3 Art lesson – watercolour and drawing using Leon and the Place Between

Developing different art skills alongside exploration of an English text gives children another way to express their understanding and their creative ideas, right the way through primary school. Artwork the children produce can be a catalyst for writing. In the attached plan and images, a year 3 class developing their drawing observation skills, learnt about the different ways they could use watercolours and during the lesson discussed the story they were studying.
