Year 5 lesson Battle of Troy – using drama and art

In this example, in the first year of the project the teacher used Art to bring the Trojan Horse story to life for the children, whilst focussing on helping children improve their skills of working together. This had great results! A lesson plan and reflections on the session are attached.More recently when the teacher was working with the children on this topic, she introduced it by using Drama to set the scene of the Battle of Troy. She commented that doing this Drama starter and then going onto using Art in the next session very much deepened their understanding of the topic.
